WHAT DO WE DO...

The NGO SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL (SI) has been committed to populations affected by the most severe crises since 1980.

It helps people affected by conflicts, violence, epidemics, natural and climate disasters and economic collapses.

Its humanitarian teams - nearly 2,500 people spread over nearly 25 countries - are tasked with helping those whose safety, health and life are threatened, covering their essential needs: drinking, eating and sheltering.

They intervene with the fierce will of constant respect for humanitarian principles of humanity, independence, impartiality and neutrality.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Within the Development and Communication department composed of 19 people, and directly attached to the Regional Events and Delegations Manager, you will support the organization of events from headquarters and the development of regional volunteer delegations.

The communication department organizes events at headquarters and supervises regional delegations. A regional delegation is a team composed only of volunteers based in the region, which conducts communication and awareness-raising actions to make our NGO and the battles it is fighting known to a wide audience. Currently, three regional delegations are active: Brittany, Pays de la Loire and Ile de France.

Main missions:

SUPPORT FOR HEAD HEALD-HOLDER EVENT PROJECTS

As an event assistant and regional delegations, you will actively participate in the design, implementation and assessment phases of the various events of the association:

Humanitarian talk and various events related to our annual thematic campaign
Evening of Wishes
World Water Day
Exhibition-photos
Conferences, round tables
Screenings of our documentary series De Vos Propres Yeux
Other events related to other departments

SUPPORT FOR REGIONAL DELEGATIONS PROJECTS

As an event assistant and regional delegations, you will support the animation and development of our volunteer delegations in the region:

Recruitment and monitoring of new volunteers to carry out awareness events and actions
Identification of new events where to deploy our Water Bar in the Ile de France, Pays de Loire and Brittany regions
Identification of new schools in which to deploy our Water Game workshops (for children)
Participation in school interventions and training of volunteers to intervene in the school environment
Support for the deployment of our new "Water Drop" tool
Creation of tools for volunteers: recruitment, integration and animation of a delegation
Creation of communication media for delegations
Identification of new visibility channels for local delegation events

Days worked on weekends and/or in the evening as part of trips to events will be recovered.

HELP WITH CREATING VISIBILITY TOOLS

The Regional Events and Delegations Manager also manages goodies and visibility tools. Your mission will be to accompany them on the following topics:

Prospecting new visibility tools
Call for tenders and comparison of the different prospected suppliers
Order management, delivery receipt and storage
Stock monitoring, replenishment management

PARTICIPATION IN INTERNAL COMMUNICATION

Internal collection and dissemination of information
Participation in the reflections and meetings of the service
One-time contribution to other actions of the communication department

YOUR PROFILE

Higher education (bac +3 level) preferably focused on communication, events and/or project management.
Real interest and motivation for the associative and humanitarian
Ideally, a first professional experience in communication
Excellent writing skills
Creativity, rigor, organization and autonomy
Computer science: good command of DPO (Adobe CC pack and in particular InDesign and Photoshop), Windows (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet and social networks, email (Outlook)

IF IT WILL OFFER YOU THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS

To be filled: end of September beginning of October 2024

Internship based at the headquarters of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL in Clichy (92), Mairie de Clichy metro

Duration: 6 months
Possible travel in regions to be planned
Intern with mandatory internship agreement.
Gratuity: 4.90 euros/hour
The gratuity is calculated in proportion to the actual hours of presence over the month. (On average 1 month = 154h, or 22 days of 7h/day)
Public transport covered at 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL
Restaurant tickets at €8.90 / actual day of internship, with participation of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL at 60%

Contributions from the internship:

At the end of your internship in the Communication department of SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL:

You will understand the functioning of the headquarters of a major international NGO, the different professions that compose it and the relations between the different humanitarian actors
You will have a global vision of the communication strategy of an NGO whose main challenge is to improve its notoriety
You will have a first approach to the functioning of the volunteer delegations of an NGO, you will know how to collaborate with volunteer teams
You will know the different stages of the organization of events, from design to assessment
You will be able to put into practice your creative skills (graphic and audiovisual) and production monitoring tools.
